The College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, Canada invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, in the area of Pharmacy Practice / Clinical Pharmacy. Expected start date of appointment is January 1, 2024 or at a time to be negotiated. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Applicants should possess a post-baccalaureate PharmD or clinically applied Ph.D., with relevant post doctoral training, fellowship training, or otherwise demonstrated research experience. A variety of clinical areas will be considered including general medicine, mental health, geriatrics, or pediatrics. Experience in clinical pharmacy practice is required. Ideally, the successful candidate should be eligible for licensure in Manitoba. Exceptions to this may be considered. Teaching experience will be considered a strong asset.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a clinical pharmacy research program in their area of expertise and seek external funding and teach in the PharmD and graduate programs. At the Associate Professor/Professor levels, the candidate will demonstrate an established clinical pharmacy research program with the ability to undertake research / scholarly activity in Manitoba. The candidate will also be expected to provide service to the College of Pharmacy and the University. Leadership opportunities may be available at the senior rank.

The University is located within a large health sciences campus and collaborates closely with the Colleges of dentistry, medicine, nursing and rehabilitation sciences, within the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS). The College of Pharmacy also works closely with Pharmacy organizations in Manitoba and with external partners who support work-integrated learning for students in community, hospital and primary care sites. The College is proximally adjacent to several tertiary care teaching hospitals of the Winnipeg Region Health Authority (WRHA) and the Children's Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM). The RFHS also houses the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy, that conducts world renowned research on health and social determinants of health and supports the province’s population-based data repository. The College has access to The George & Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) which champions patient-oriented research in Manitoba and offers a range of services to support health researchers, practitioners, decision makers and trainees.

The College of Pharmacy has a long history of excellence in pharmacy education and research. It is a part of the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, situated on a dynamic campus that provides opportunities for interprofessional collaboration in health sciences research and education. Excellence in teaching, research and service, is the focus of academic activities.
