Who We Are
Reston Drugs & Virden Drugs are a family-owned business, committed to serving our community and creating a work environment that supports personal growth and a thriving work-life balance. Unique to this organization, Virden Drugs has a sister company in Reston (Reston Drugs), where some services are shared, ultimately serving not only one, but two communities. Because of this, we understand that our customers are the lifeblood of our business, and in a short time they become familiar friendly faces who we extend unparalleled customer service to; the type you find in small-town life! We are passionate about pharmacy and are thankful for the opportunity to make a difference each and every day. In this vein, we are working toward implementing more cognitive support services in our pharmacies, gaining access to e-chart for our pharmacists, as well as implementing non-dispensing shifts to focus on patient care. To support our staff, we encourage personal development and financially support endeavours that build your pharmaceutical expertise. Equally as important, we maintain a strong work-life balance through our hours of operation (closing our door on evenings and holidays) and time to yourself (3 weeks paid vacation to start). It is important to us that we stay away from quotas; instead, focusing on creating a comfortable and fun work environment. Our team is amazing, each with their unique talents and areas of expertise, and we hope to find a pharmacist who enjoys working with our team as much as we do.

Our Communities
Virden is a wonderful growing community located at the junction of Highway 1 (Trans-Canada) and Highway 83 It is the home of many recreational activities including hockey, curling, swimming (with waterslides), golf, ball diamonds and a race track. The community participates in many festivals and events that can be found year-round. Beautiful landscape at Victoria Park provides weekend activities and the outdoor band shell often has entertainment. With many amenities, the town has much to offer newcomers, young families and those seeking small town life.
Reston is a beautiful community located in the RM of Pipestone. It is home to ample recreational activities including hockey, curling, golf, ball diamonds, a spray park and a man-made lake. Recent government investments in this community have made it an affordable and attractive place to put down your roots. The Reston Memorial Park is a beauty year-round, but especially in the summer when “Music in the Park” events take place on a regular basis. Not to mention, the Community Development Corporation will pay you (up to $6000) to buy or build a house in the RM. If a slower pace and friendly community is what you’re after, this is the place for you!
We embrace diversity and inclusion, and we’re working to create a workplace that is as diverse as the communities we serve.
