We at Reavie’s Pharmacy have embraced the expanded scope of practice for community pharmacists in Manitoba and are seeking our next team member: our Community Pharmacist.

• Positive work-life balance: no evenings, 1 in 3 weekend rotation, closed on Sundays
• Full complement of pharmacy staff to assist with proper workflow

• Working collaboratively with patients’ physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes. Our physicians are next door, so they are readily available to communicate with.
• Patient-counseling on selection and use of non-prescription medication
• Ensuring accurate pharmacotherapy
• Advising patients and health care professionals on the indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage of pharmaceuticals
• Maintaining medication profiles of customers
• Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals and other drugs and pharmaceuticals.

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D
• Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada Certification
• Good standing with College of Pharmacists and strong sense of professionalism
• Superior patient and physician relation skills 
• Excellent leadership and performance management skills an asset
• Authorization to prescribe for Self Limiting Conditions, Smoking Cessation, Urinary Tract Infections would be considered an asset
• Any additional accreditation (such as a CDE or a Geriatric Pharmacist) an asset, but not required
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Strong problem solving skills
• Experience with Assyst-Rx Pharmacy software an asset, but not required. If applicant has experience with Kroll it is quite similar to this software.
