Pharmacist Job Description
The experienced Pharmacist will oversee daily pharmacy operations, supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, manage inventory, and maintain exceptional customer service to promote patient safety and profitability. Key responsibilities include hiring and training employees, scheduling, inventory management, financial oversight, and resolving operational issues. The licensed pharmacist role requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. The desired candidate would have at least 5 years of experience as a pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities

Staff Supervision & Management:

  • Hire, train, schedule, and manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
Operational Oversight:
  • Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring a safe, clean environment, and efficient workflow. 
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure the pharmacy adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations and policies related to pharmacy operations. 
Inventory & Stock Management:
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, monitor stock, and prevent shortages to meet patient needs. 
Customer Service:
  • Provide exceptional patient care, resolve customer concerns, and ensure a positive experience for all patrons. 
Financial Management:
  • Oversee budgeting, control expenses, monitor sales, and ensure the pharmacy achieves profitability goals. 
Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, patient information, and insurance claims. 
Vendor & Stakeholder Relations:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
 Required Skills & Qualifications
 
Education & Licensure:
  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)/ BPharm degree and a current, state-approved license to practice as a pharmacist. 
Experience:
  • Proven experience in a management or supervisory role within a pharmacy setting. 
Leadership & Communication:
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to manage staff and interact with patients effectively. 
Problem-Solving:
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address issues like supply shortages, customer complaints, and staffing. 
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with pharmacy management software and systems. 
Organizational Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills to manage diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacological uses and safe handling of medications

Pharmacy Assistant Job Description
  • Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone; answering questions and requests; referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
  • Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities; other pharmaceutical records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
  • Generates revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
  • Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Supply management, organization, integrity, reporting skills, attention to detail, dependability, creating a safe, effective environment, quality focus, supply management, analyzing information, informing others.
Salary: $16.50-$25.00 per hour
