Staff Pharmacist - Part Time or Full Time

Glenboro Pharmacy is looking for a friendly, energetic pharmacist with good customer service skills to join our team. We are located in the town of Glenboro, just minutes from the beautiful Spruce Woods Provincial Park where many recreational activities are available year round. Nearby as well is Pelican Lake, a great place for boating, sailing, fishing and other activities. We are also only 45 minutes from Brandon, and 1.5 hours from Winnipeg. We are open Monday - Saturday however the dispensary is only open Monday-Friday. You will be joining a dispensary team of 1 pharmacist and 2 pharmacy assistants. NO evenings, holidays, or weekends.
The successful candidate should meet the following criteria:
- -valid Manitoba pharmacist license in good standing
- -strong communication and customer service skills
- -ability to work with a team and problem solve
- -certification to administer drugs and vaccines by injection required
- -ability to prescribe for minor ailments, uncomplicated cystitis, and smoking cessation would be an asset
- -familiarity with Kroll would be an asset
Opportunity can be provided to promote health and wellness and educate patients through clinics, community events, etc if so desired. In previous years we have held many Injection Clinics, offering Influenza, Covid, Shingrix, and Tetanus vaccines.
Compression stockings are also a service we offer, training can be provided if the successful candidate has no prior training and is interested.

The area has a very active Health Action Committee which has been instrumental in raising funds and working with the Prairie Mountain RHA to turn this new clinic into a reality. We also work with the practitioners in various clinics in nearby towns and offer free delivery to 4 other communities in our area.
We offer a competitive wage as well as a signing bonus for full time, prorated amount for part time, plus a health plan, employee discount, and payment for annual license fees. An opportunity to buy into the business can also be negotiated.
