Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, performing the final check of prescriptions, processing insurance claims, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies
- Ensuring that a prescription is complete and authentic
- Ensuring the accuracy and performing the final check of a prepared prescription
- Observing and directing Pharmacy Assistants and Clerks in the dispensary activities
- Maintain inventory and manage stock levels
- Provide excellent customer service and assist with inquiries
- Ensure compliance with provincial and federal pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy software and maintain accurate records
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician program
- Current registration with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting and with Kroll pharmacy software is an asset
